EFI Auto-Count Goes Green

RoHS-Compliant Scale Interface Boards to be Released this Summer

EFI™ Auto-Count Direct Machine Interface (DMI) is known for its “green” impact because it controls production to reduce waste. This summer, Auto-Count® becomes even more environmentally friendly because its new RoHS-compliant scale interface boards will insure minimal environmental impact. What is RoHS and why is it important to your business? The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment." This Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants. More RoHS detail can be found at: http://www.rohs.gov.uk.

The new boards will be available on the Auto-Count 3000® and the Auto-Count Paper Monitor. Contact Bob Howard, Auto-Count product manager, at bob.howard@efi.com for more information about Auto-Count and RoHS-Compliance.
