EFI Pace Integrates with Digital StoreFront 4.0 and Fiery in Version 22

We are pleased to announce that EFI™ Pace integrates with EFI Digital StoreFront® (DSF) 4.0 in Version 22! DSF 4.0 introduces the ability to support fulfillment transactions as well as ad hoc-type first order transactions. The EFI Pace™ integration with DSF 4.0 supports both the ad hoc first order (non-predefined) item workflow and the fulfillment workflow tied to the EFI Pace finished goods inventory module. With this integration, EFI Pace users can define which customers, contacts, shipping methods, and items to send to the DSF site. From there, the items are managed into appropriate categories for sale on the DSF site.

In Version 22, EFI Pace also integrates with the EFI Fiery®, which offers our customers a complete workflow. EFI Pace can receive a DSF order with content, schedule it, track it via the production modules, send the job to the Fiery, complete, and send status and shipment data (like tracking numbers) back to DSF.

For example, an e-commerce buyer would place an order on the DSF site. In EFI Pace, the order auto-creates a job, which contains an attribute to indicate that the job originated from DSF. The DSF order can contain many items, and those items become job parts in EFI Pace. EFI Pace customers can use EFI Pace item templates to match the attributes selected to labor activities and materials. An estimate can be tied to these templates to enable recalculation based on the order item quantity for accuracy of the labor/material.

E-commerce buyers can use the DSF site to track their orders through three order level statuses (e.g., In production, Canceled and Completed). The buyer may pay by credit card, as DSF supports credit card transactions, or they can enter a PO number that can be passed to the EFI Pace invoice or simply invoiced outside of EFI Pace.

The value-added benefit of the EFI Pace and DSF 4.0/EFI Fiery integration is that not only can EFI Pace receive a DSF order, but the system can schedule it, receive the item content, and pass that on to the Fiery.
