EFI Digital StoreFront® Goes to School
Illinois State University Students Produce Winning Store Fronts with DSF
Illinois State University Graphic Communications students developed Web-to-print storefronts with EFI Digital StoreFront (DSF) software in the degree program's TEC 356 Graphic Communications Business Practices course. The project provided students with an opportunity to plan and create a functional webto- print e-commerce site. Through a case study, each student reviewed a company’s target market, identified key products to be marketed online, and calculated costs. With this planning done, students proceeded to the workflow process for creating the online store using the Digital Storefront application.
“We use EFI Digital StoreFront to teach students about the value of a good Web-to-Print implementation,” commented Professor Dan Wilson, Illinois State University. “The parameters of the assignment required one ad-hoc product and one VDP product, plus custom branding. The sites created by the students were interesting and functional.”
