EFI Colorproof XF 3.0 Takes Proofing to a Higher Level
The launch of EFI Colorproof™ XF 3.0 marks another milestone in the success story of EFI’s leading digital proofing solution using Bestcolor® Technology. It differentiates itself from competitors with an easy-to-use interface, faster speed, and enhanced efficiency, enabling commercial printers, prepress providers, publishers, creative agencies and photographers to improve their customer satisfaction. EFI Colorproof 3.0’s new features ensure enhanced color quality and more accurate simulation of the production run, so final prints meet customer expectations. Its new functions, such as the Production and Gravure Options, also offer companies and consultants the ability to expand their services and profits.
New and Improved Features
- Increased productivity. Colorproof XF 3.0 delivers faster output that dramatically boosts productivity through new several features such as step & repeat, virtual printer set-up, processing of seven-color source and simulation profiles. Its new user interface also comes with two different views – Job Explorer and System Manager – so users can create workflow quicker and easier. In addition, the basic package comes with an unlimited number of clients to accommodate businesses’ specific workflow.
- More accurate proofs. Colorproof XF 3.0 achieves perfect simulation of production runs, helping businesses manage and surpass customer expectations with more accurate proofs. It does this by imitating various printing process features such as first printable dot, noise intensity and missing dots of gravure printing.
- Higher color quality. The product delivers optimal color quality through a variety of new or improved features for even the most demanding customers. Colorproof XF 3.0 comes with enhanced linearization for smoother gradation, improved gray balance and minimal color casts in gray. The LinTool offers a new 3D optimizer, ensuring correct, repeatable color, and extends users’ remote workflow capabilities by providing perfect coordination of different printers. The availability of the LinTool for Macintosh users improves integration in mixed environments.
- Extended Color Manager Option capabilities. Colorproof 3.0 makes the Color Manager Option available to Macintosh users in mixed environments. The improved option reduces the rainbow effect, improves the gray balance and shadow detail and decreases solarisation effects. It also allows users to create ICC paper profiles with up to six color channels, lets them create device link profiles, and achieves better application integration by using reference profiles as separation profiles.
- New Gravure Option for gravure printing. Businesses can close the gap between design and the electromechanical engraving system with Colorproof 3.0’s Gravure Option. The option outputs separated grayscale TIFFs, so users can cost-effectively engrave gravure cylinders.
- New Production Option for large-format printing. With the Production Option, companies can create new revenue streams by transforming their large format printers into fast, profitable solutions that offer additional services such as poster and banner production. The option also provides cutting-edge production features such as expanded step & repeat functions for easier and quicker pattern creation and the tiling function that facilitate processing of print jobs that are larger than the printer width. It also enables users to make real-time color adjustments.
