Fiery unique password

Fiery password

Fiery servers ship with a unique password as a new means of authentication for first-time setup and use.

These are the user names that require a password:
- Administrator
- Operator
- Windows OS login (for external servers only)

The password can be found in the ID field under the BIOS Setup section in the Fiery Configuration sheet, and is unique to each Fiery server.

The following documentation is included in the Fiery box and contains detailed instructions to help you find the Fiery password.
For external Fiery servers, the password is also the serial number printed on the label affixed to the rear of the Fiery server.

To prevent unauthorized users from logging on to the Fiery system, remember to change this password for all user names after the initial setup.

Fiery servers don't offer a password recovery mechanism. The only way to recover the password is by reinstalling the Fiery software.

When the Fiery server software is reinstalled, or the Fiery server is reset to factory default, the password will be reset to the Fiery default password mentioned in the user documentation, usually "Fiery.1". Remember to change this password for all user names to prevent unauthorized access.
