Information on Fiery driver compatibility with macOS 11 Big Sur

Fiery driver 6.5 for Mac is compatible with the following macOS versions (Intel CPU):

  • macOS 11 Big Sur
  • macOS 10.15.x Catalina
  • macOS 10.14.x Mojave

Fiery driver 6.5 supports Mac computers running macOS 11 (Big Sur) with Apple M1 processors (ARM) using the OS Rosetta2 dynamic binary translator.

Information on Fiery driver compatibility with macOS 10.15 Catalina


Fiery driver 6.4 for Mac is compatible with macOS 10.15.x Catalina and are currently available for download for product under service level agreement. 

The Fiery driver 6.4 for macOS Catalina 10.15.x can be installed by any of the following methods:

  1. Download a patch

    Existing Fiery driver users upgrading to macOS 10.15.x from an older Mac OS version (such as 10.11, 10.12, 10.13, or 10.14) can install a driver patch to update their existing printer driver files to be compatible with macOS 10.15.x. The patch, along with instructions to run the patch, is available in the Download Center. 

     

  2. Use Fiery Driver Updater

    Existing Fiery driver users upgrading to macOS 10.15.x from an older Mac OS version (such as 10.11, 10.12, 10.13, or 10.14) can choose to run Fiery Driver Updater to update the driver files. The Fiery Driver Updater app can be found in the Applications Folder. 

     

  3. Perform a new driver install

    Users who want to perform a fresh installation of Fiery Driver 6.4 on their client macOS 10.15.x computer need to first remove all existing Fiery Drivers on the computer before installing the new Fiery Driver. Use the latest Fiery Software Uninstaller application included in the ProductName.dmg package. Failure to remove older printer drivers may result in errors with the new printer driver. Download the macOS 10.15.x driver installer package for the printer from the Download Center.
