Users covered under current Fiery® Color Profiler Suite Software Maintenance and Support Agreements (SMSA) are entitled to all product upgrades during the contract period allowing you to stay up-to-date with new features in the rapidly changing area of color management. Upgrades may add support for new workflows, new measuring devices, and new international press standards. A current SMSA also entitles users to technical support for the product and for all the color profiling workflows.

EFI spectrophotometer warranty and repair

Your EFI spectrophotometer comes with a 1-year manufacturer warranty. If a failure occurs within the first year of purchase, the unit should be returned to EFI by contacting profilersupport@efi.com following the guidelines provided in this EFI Communities article. If a hardware failure occurs outside the 1-year warranty period, the faulty unit should be returned to X-Rite directly, further information can be found here.

In, and out of warranty repairs take approximately 5-10 days from shipment to return. If a unit is deemed non-repairable, a replacement unit will be provided and your Fiery Color Profiler Suite license switched to the new unit serial number.

Note for EFI ES-3000 users: X-Rite® provides a free replacement aperture and ruler kit for the ES-3000 spectrophotometer to increase the ease of use and durability during repeated heavy use. The enhancement kit can be ordered from X-Rite — you will need to enter your serial number. Aperture replacement instructions can be found here.
